Hi, I’m Kaitlin! I love graphic design and visual art and any way I can mesh the two. I’ve grown up with a passion for painting and drawing as well as a deep respect for creating clean, purposeful design. Travel and culture drive a lot of my work, a spark started with my time living in Florence, Italy. I’m dedicated to improvement, inside and outside of work, constantly setting goals to challenge myself (currently attempting to try 24 new recipes in 2024). I spend my spare time reading, biking/hiking/paddle boarding, baking and drawing. Thanks for checking out my work and learning a bit about me!
The Goal
The goal is to keep the word “create” an active verb in my lifestyle. I don’t want to stop the act of ideating, exploring, contemplating. I seek out projects that challenge me and give me an opportunity to design from a new perspective. The purpose behind these designs are also always being refined. I want to continue working towards streamlining my designs and making sure they are a clear solution to a presented problem.

Being a Cleveland local with 2 dogs, close family and friends and a love for food and drinks and artsy events… it’s pretty easy to stay inspired. Even just walking into my favorite coffee shop and looking over the bulletin board gives me some ideas I never would have thought of for logo marks or typefaces.
I read a LOT and love exploring cover art concepts and print processes. I try to continue to keep an open mind and push myself to design out of my comfort zone. You never know what will work unless you create it.

While my design process can differ a little bit on a project-by-project basis, it all revolves around the same key steps:
Research
Idea Dump
Create like there’s no tomorrow
Refine

My favorite book is moreso a comfort book, something I read years ago that I’ve since read about 12 times over: The Indigo Notebook by Laura Resau.
Since getting back into reading, my recent favorites include the ACOTAR series, The Inheritance Games, and Daisy Jones & the Six.
My favorite cover art? Check out the Inheritance Games Series and the Lightlark Series.
